• Advised on the establishment of an alternative credit asset management firm which reached €8bn in AuM, including all business processes, outsourced functions, regulation and risk. The new business generated a return on equity of 35% by year 3 of the plan.
• Set up an online bank for the logistics industry.
• Set-up and raised the €50m seed capital for an Irish hedge fund generating annual fees of 1.5% for the manager with an additional 15% upside above the fund's hurdle rate, representing a minimum addition to pre-tax income of €750,000.
• Set up a trading business for a European bank, including all risk limits and procedures with target 25%+ return on capital for the client.
• Set up two new business divisions for international banks with 17% ROEs and established securitization programmes for two international banks funded through the private and public markets.
• Set up a direct lending fund for a major UK pension fund as a joint venture with one of the UK's largest banks.
• Appointed to senior interim management function in a newly established Fintech SME lender.

• Developed a funding platform for residential property developers.
• Raised strategic capital for a UK building society in the form of a privately placed 10 year callable subordinated note and a second tranche structured as a listed eurobond tap issue programme.
• Advised a specialized UK asset finance company on broadening of its funding base and introduced new secured lenders.
• Advised a UK leasing company owned by private equity investors on debt placement with a European bank to expand its lenders and facilitate growth.
• Advised on the establishment and financing of a renewable energy company.
• Advised a Swedish Insurance Company on the management of its debt issuance programme and its interface with the banking market.
• Raised €100 million for a London absolute return asset manager.

Promethion has advised corporate and financial institution clients on a wide range of strategic issues:

• Arranged a £125m debt and equity placement for a UK leasing company as part of a joint venture with a major UK bank after their existing joint venture arrangement with a Japanese firm failed. Introduced a new partner providing a mix of equity, subordinated and senior debt in tranches and the ROE of the business increased from 15% to in excess of 30% over the next five years.
• Advised a hotel management company on acquiring a UK hotel group held by an Irish administrator.
• Advised a consortium of high net worth real estate investors on the acquisition of a portfolio of distressed hotels in Ireland from a major European bank.
• Advised on the acquisition by a private company of a minority stake in a competitor from a major UK institution.
• Evaluated the acquisition of a Spanish company from the appointed administrator by a UK company.
• Advised a market neutral equity fund on its distribution strategy.
• Appointed to advise a fund backed by the sovereign wealth fund, seeking to broaden its international base through a joint venture with a European credit manager. Conducted 2 market searches in Europe and the US to acquire a CLO manager and identified a market leader as the most suitable target to maximise synergies.
• Undertook the commercial due diligence associated with the €50m acquisition, including contracts, documentation, operational and credit processes, modelling the cash flows and valuation.
